Me interesa trabajar el movimiento como la muestra de lo que está vivo. Observo como sucede el mundo a mi alrededor, como las personas se mueven por los espacios, y las dibujo. Estos dibujos son trabajados posteriormente en pintura dando diferentes resultados. Me interesa estudiar mi obra y mi proceso de creación como algo que nunca termina, porque simula nuestro propio recorrido compartido, siempre cambiantes y en movimiento. Con mi trabajo intento ofrecer una similitud de lo que el proceso vital significa, las distintas perspectivas que podemos tener del mundo y de las cosas. Realizo continuamente distintos proyectos, buscando diferentes vías de producción a partir del estudio pictórico de los movimientos que observo. No busco el resultado, sino distintas maneras de hacer y ver algo.
Me interesa realizar una exploración constante de los materiales con los que decido realizar una obra. He realizado proyectos participativos indagando en lo que entendemos por creatividad, intentando acercar a las personas a lo que comprendemos por arte y lo que no, interesada en promover la actuación, la inquietud y la responsabilidad con el mundo y con los que nos rodean.”
My Project is about movements and rhythms abstractions of different human bodies observed in a lot of situations. The Project consists of some paintings, which came from several sketches taken in situ of this kind of movements. It’s an experimental work concerning the application of paint as well as color and form. It’s a work without limits that has none definable intention.
The initial point is common: people’s body language observed in the space ( on the streets, metro...) The Project has an evolution, all the draws and paintings are different, the project moves.
My project evolves in different changes, variations, results. I am from Madrid, Spain, but I currently live and work in Amsterdam, so my artwork also focuses on this moment on the changes we are exposed to when we emigrate. I’m thinking about the differences between the cities of Madrid and Amsterdam. I observe the corporal movement in this city, the daily life and the different factors that make life in a certain way. I reflect on the things I miss, the ones I do not have here. I think about my relationships in Madrid, and my relationships with the people here. I work in my relationship with the city, the different public and private spaces that I walk and occupy. I am also writing in my works. I take notes of what I observe, my artwork is an analysis of what I see, how I feel, how I live with others. Now I am an expatriate, so I see the city with another perspective and I paint and write about it.
